Ruud is active in the field of e-mobility since 2009 when he was involved in the first National Action Plan Electric Driving of the Dutch government. He was captivated by the combination of innovation and sustainability in the sector. He has since supported many public and private parties in the transition to sustainable mobility. At EVConsult Ruud is responsible for all projects in the heavy duty domain. He has been actively involved in the rise of electric bus transport since 2013 and was amongst others responsible for the implementation of the charging infrastructure for a bus concession with the largest electric fleet in Europe of 250 e-buses. Ruud has also been involved from the start in the emergence of e-trucks for various clients including the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and the Port of Rotterdam
