Roland is managing director of NTCS GreenBee, a consulting company for emobility in emerging markets. GreenBee is active with projects in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Europe. Projects range from redesigning market models for islands and countries, to specific regulation proposals on interoperability, tenders for charging station hard- and software and location planning for AC and DC charging. 

Roland is working on designing and improving charging infrastructure ecosystems since 2015; as consultant, as Director of the Netherlands Knowledge Platform for charging infrastructure (NKL) and as board member of the international EVRoaming Foundation. 

Prior to emobility, Roland was Director of Risk Management for the energy utility Essent. He has a masters in theoretical physics.
