Being an automotive engineer the trade association RAI Vereniging was a logical first career choice: helping the Dutch mobility industry move forward in the world of regulations and authorities. Slowly my focus became less technical and more towards advocacy projects and also promoting the industry national and international. In 2021 the bicycle industry was the next step, now I am responsible for promoting and representing the Dutch bicycle and bicycle-parts industry nationally and also in the European context as boardmember of the European association CONEBI. Our objective is that the bicycle is the mobility solution for the 21th century and we try to spread this message together with the Dutch bicycle industry and other stakeholders.
