After a career as a commercial manager in a variety of companies, Marcel Schaap founded De Stille Boot in 2004. Right from the start the focus of this company was a 100% on electric boating. This was unique at a time when electric mobility wasn’t so hot and the climate crisis hadn’t become so apparent. De Stille Boot (literally “The Silent Boat”) offers electric drive trains for boats up to 20 m. in length, both for the professional and leisure markets. The product range includes electric motors, batteries, flexible solar systems, monitoring and charging equipment. Customers are boatyards, installation companies and yacht service providers.
