Giel Franken is the General manager of Carver Europe b.v., the Carver team aims to persuade people to think more about their mobility behavior and choose smarter, more efficient ways of getting around. They do this by designing, developing, and distributing a narrow, comfortable, yet highly efficient e-Microcar, the Carver. Thanks to the unique tilting technology on board, they can combine the nimbleness of a 2-wheeler with the comfort of a car.

As an experienced operations professional Giel was instrumental in the development of the Carver supply chain footprint. He has spent the past few years travelling between China, South-Korea, and the Netherlands to lead Carver with the transition from prototype development to mass production. Currently he is working on the transition from start-up to scale-up focusing on the expansion of distribution in Europe.
