Dr. Despina Chatzikyriakou joined ZEEKR Europe in April 2023, leading ZEEKR Power strategy and operations. With a clear target to deliver an intelligent, rewarding, and convenient customer experience as well as to quickly setup and expand the ZEEKR brand in Europe, ZEEKR Power is aiming at adding value to European customers by combining e-mobility with charging and energy services and products. Prior to joining ZEEKR Europe, Dr. Chatzikyriakou spent 10 years at Toyota Motor Europe, holding various positions in R&D, innovation, hydrogen/fuel cell, batteries, global energy strategy and eventually battery electric vehicle strategy and rollout, with the overall responsibility for Toyota and Lexus' charging and energy strategy in Europe. Dr. Chatzikyriakou holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London followed by postdoctoral studies in Nuclear Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is the author of various scientific publications as well as a public speaker on the topics of e-mobility and green energy.
